Puel: Mourinho will struggle to help keep United stars content

Southampton head to Old Trafford on Friday, with Paul Pogba set to create his long-awaited return for Manchester United.

With countless stars at Jose Mourinho’s disposal, Southampton manager Claude Puel has questioned how his Manchester United counterpart will keep his players satisfied at Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba – the world’s most expensive player – is set to make his long-awaited return for United in Friday’s Premier League clash against Southampton just after arriving from Italian champions Juventus.
Pogba will bolster a midfield currently like Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini, Morgan Schneiderlin, Ander Herrera, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Michael Carrick, though Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial are all inside the starting XI.
And as Southampton prepare to face United at Old Trafford, Puel insists Mourinho will have his hands complete.
“Pogba has qualities and is a different player who can make a distinction in an offensive game and also defensive,” Puel said.
“He is often risky around the run, but I don’t understand how his manager can make all these terrific players operate with each other.
“It is tough to stay a collective and to have two or three players for each position around the pitch. I’m sure they could be one of many favourites to win the championship. But I hope we are able to slow them down and take a single or all three points from Manchester United.
“The most significant factor for us just isn’t to consider them as an excellent team with fantastic players but to consider them as opponents with superior opportunities to create a great game and to create a fantastic outcome.”
Southampton were held to a 1-1 draw by Watford in their opening fixture, even though United accounted for Bournemouth 3-1.
